Waiting and waiting on my slow, slow publisher to get galley and cover for Necromancer’s Fall formatted.
Sigh. But there’s a queue. They have other authors on their books and I’m not top of their priority list. If I were to get an approach from another publisher anytime soon, I would definitely jump ship. And an approach might not be beyond the realms of possibility, given my sales and the fact my current publisher is making a tonne of cash off me (a tonne more than I’m making).
Ah, woe is me. The life of an author is not for the faint-hearted. Apparently, you need three books selling well before you can even afford to become a fulltime author. I’m about to take the leap, which is scary in the current climate, but I’m 40 this year, so am probably going through a midlife crisis or something.
