Well, had a long day at the signing in Leeds yesterday (left home 8am, got back 9pm), but sold 40-50 books, which wasn’t too bad – the store manager will be happy enough with that to have me back for another signing this side of xmas.
Had good support from some friends: Greg West (drove up from Cheshire!), Jan Scott (gave up essay-writing time), the lovely Rachel (who bought me a cup of tea) and Dave and Kate (who thought the war at the end of book 2 was too short, and they’re probably right). And then met some new people: Tim, Kate, Chris and Bec, Tanya… and others whom I’ve forgotten (forgive me – old age affecting the memory).
Particularly pleased with the 40-50 copies cos the store was very quiet in the afternoon. Leeds were playing Derby in the seasoner opener of the footie, of course. Still, sold x15 copies of bk3 nonetheless.
Think it was 2-1 to Derby in the end.
