This weekend’s little DIY effort was sorting out the radiator in the bathroom. It was a three-stage process, of course. When isn’t it? Stripped off a load of the old paint with paint remover – to find an horrific amount of red stuff. Wire brush and sand paper (beware the old paint isn’t lead-based), then primer and then new enamel. Tried some of the enamel on my teeth too and they’ve come up a treat.
Next weekend, I will mostly be fitting blinds in the kitchen. (Plumber coming midweek to sort out dripping stopcock (not as rude as it sounds) and low cold water pressure.)
Meanwhile, chapter 5 should be finished tomorrow. Seeing Oli the artist in a pub tonight to work on ideas for the new book cover (nothing too psychaedelic or projectile hopefully).
