One comment on “Legion: a film review

  1. Paul Bettany in his first action movie role. Surprising since he was rather good in it and went on to play the titular role in “Priest.” I rather enjoyed Legion. I must have missed the right-wing evangelist agenda, unless the idea that angels are real and God exists covers it. (If you want a movie with that kind of message, the last 2 minutes of “The Prophecy,” an otherwise excellent film, always make me cringe.) I thought it was a perfectly good excuse for a lot of explosions and shooting the proverbial out of stuff. The horror is quite well worked and the cast is really quite excellent. You’re right though, it’s not perfect, but there is some requirement to set the scene before the action starts. If you’d been paying attention during the superflous bit at the start you’d have spotted the jokes.
