Met the owner of Adel Publishing in Leeds yesterday. It’s a newly established outfit which differentiates itself by being ethical and offering its authors fair financial arrangements. Who’d have thought it! Can such a thing truly exist? Won’t the world come to an end?
Meantime, it rained so hard that people were going past the book store in gondolas and singing about cornettos. Still, I managed to sell 28 books and met some nice (and very discerning) people: Jess, Matt, Sam… and my brain’s too damp to remember the rest immediately. Next stop: Waterstones Wakefield on 30 June!
