Strangely difficult to get from Manchester to Wakefield – the trains of this country are devil-machines. Anyway, got there eventually and it was all very jolly. Sold a suitable number of books to fine people such as Helen&Martin, Sam, Tyler’s dad, Colin, John… and others (apologies if names elude me right now). Obviously, I couldn’t compete with the hordes buying Fifty Shades of Grey (sheesh), as I just don’t put that much sex in my books. Still, I think Waterstones will be inviting me back for another signing in Wakefield in October. Came back to Manchester by another route, despite the crowds heading for the Stone Roses concert, and finally managed to get a decent cup of tea.
