Week 8 (out of 13) of this term now complete. Phew. Feels like it’s going on forever. Students – gotta luv em, cos they pay for the cat food. No, not ‘biblically’.
Still, I’m seeing Matt White next Wed – he’s an oasis. An oasis of beer and love. Beery love. Loving beer. And he’s good at SingStar – altho I’m better sober – which he makes sure I never am.
And Lifer is going very well. Damn best book I’ve ever written… or read. Thinking Gollancz will have to work hard to show themselves worthy.
And London Book Fair is in April. Gollancz have a terrible conversion rate. Oh, quit whining, you lurkers. Man up or bugger off.
And the national scifi convention is in Glasgow in April, and coincides with the release of Tithe of the Saviours. Have I got the energy to do Waterstones Glasgow and then the convention? Really not sure. Need an incentive beyond a royalty of one pound a copy on the books sold, really. I do like the Scots tho, cos they’re very sensible. Maybe I should drop in on Canongate while I’m up there. Yes. That’s a good idea.
