Well, just finished one story for The Book of Dragons (follow-up to The Book of Angels, init). Now starting another called ‘The Lecturer’ – strangely autobiographical.
Meanwhile, I’m being hampered by my addiction to the game http://www.slither.io. Don’t check it out, is my advice. It’ll ruin you.
Also still being plagued by a cold of five weeks. I’ve tried vitamin C, garlic, Boots, the sacrifice of children to obscure deities, and so on. Can’t quite shake it. Keep thinking it’s gone, but then it catches me all unawares again. Sheesh.
Waiting on Huddersfield Uni. to confirm a date for my PhD viva – it’ll be nice to get it over with. The administration seem to be moving with glacial speed, however. Ironically, already have a publishing contract for the PhD write-up, which is on the history and sub-genres of British fantasy.
Been watching Daredevil series 1 of late. It’s extremely violent – much more so than Luke Cage or Jessica Jones. And there’s a lot of muttered dialogue, which is annoying. Some episodes feel very contemporary and some feel very dated/cliched. But overall there’s something compelling about it. King Pin is extremely well played. Nuff said.
Happy Halloween to you all (and go and buy a copy of The Book of Angels, for crying out loud).
